My name is Lucine Smith and I just returned home to the wonderful Yuma, Arizona after having lived in Northern California for nearly 15 years. I worked at Safeway, then attended a bartending school which then took me to work for one of the best catering companies. First as an event planner and then as an office manager. With every job that I had and different people that I met, my career goals grew and so did my skills that eventually took me to own my own successful catering company.I am the mother of 2 beautiful little girls and 3 awesome stepdaughters with my amazing, supportive husband; they are the reason why I decided it was time to return home to Yuma. My Mother and her husband, as well as my brother and his family, all live in Yuma, so it was an easy decision to join them and have our children grow up together. I’m excited to watch my girls grow up where I did and see what the future has in store for us here.Since moving back everyone has been so welcoming and I’ve met several phenomenal people; many who help our community become more successful and prosperous. Those connections led me to become a Rotarian and to the Yuma Southwest Contractors Association. Earlier this year, I had the privilege of helping the Yuma Southwest Contractors during a few of their events that gave back to the community and its’ members and I really enjoyed doing that.I am now the Business Development Manager for the Yuma Southwest Contractors Association. Together with the Office Manager and the Board Members, I look forward to all the great things that we will accomplish not only for our members but for our community.
